Swimming Coaching - We Have the Green Light

Postby Snoop Doug » Fri Feb 27, 2009 10:46 pm

Sorry for the delay folks. Mrs Snoop has caught up with da big boss and so (drum roll puhlease) we can go swimming 8)

Here's the deal:

Thursday evenings, 7pm for one hour. Venue is Legal and General building in Kingswood, Surrey. Cost is a fiver a head, need a minimum of 8 people. Roughly....half an hour of stroke technique tuition (leave it finbar), followed by some coaching using the techniques just learned, drills, free swim if you want, etc. Mrs Snoop will be flexible to meet demand.

Now - we all know I'm biased but....she's blimmin good at this. I've posted this on the general forum for maximum exposure - please can you put your name on the list if you'd like to give this a go.

Cheers - Snoop

PS - the earlier provisional list of interested peeps was:

Marek
Dominic
Mr
Rob C
Locky
Jo
Terry
Guru Paul

Yep I'm in but may need a ride until it gets lighter and can then cycle. Anyone pass by Sanderstead?

I'm interested but being there for 7 would mean having to cycle straight from work so I couldn't offer a lift I'm afraid Alan.

Snoop do you have any idea how many of these there would be and would any commitment to a number of sessions be needed? I'll try and make the first one and see if it's going to be doable, If you need a commitment to a number of lessons up front then you'd better drop me off your list.

I`d like to give it a go, but unfortunately not a great swimmer, as you will find out. When do you reckon it will start?

Ill be there. I have been enjoying Doug's wife (coaching) all to myself but am more than happy to share.

Mrs Snoop has definately made a big difference to my swimming.

Snoop, still interested. I will have to take advice though from the doc after the hernia op so I might have to delay some. Will let you know when we marshall the SCCU 21.

Snoop, 7pm is really pushing it for me, I could probably get there for about 7.15pm to 7.30pm. I can't make this Thursday, but week after should be ok.

Sounds perfect in terms of set up, I really want some tips on technique.

Cheers

Marek....

Marek - I could drop you off on the East Grinsted line (upper Warlingham) after the session if that helps.

Update:

7pm is currently the latest available slot at this pool. If this proved to be the deal breaker then there may be a possibility of relocating - in time. That would not be easy but maybe possible. This would affect prices too I'm pretty sure. Mrs Snoop got a v good deal from this pool which she is passing on to you.

No block bookings for now at least. It will be week by week as things get started to keep things flexible for Mrs Snoop and ACC both.

Keep 'em coming folks - start date to be finalised but hopefully as soon(ish) as enough people are on board

Cheers - Snoop

PS - Try outers so far:

Jo
Terry
Mr
Marek
Alan
Paul H
Rob C
Dominic (subject to etc etc)

So - we need a couple more...

I would like to do this but I have two problems....

I am currently in the middle of a block of lessons at a pool over the road from where I live

and...

This is a bit far away for me as I dont normally get home till about 6:30 at the very earliest

Can you put up postcode details so I can work out how far it will be to ride too?

I was one of the original 'interesteds', but that's a little far out for me (man). Shame - would love to do this.
