Well, they say hilly, but it's mostly draggy with one short sharp hill at the start and another towards the end which are the only bits that need any out of the saddle on the little ring shenanigans.
Anyway, this has been my season opener since 2006, and I've gone quicker each year except today, when I was 16 seconds slower than last year. Oh well, considering my winter training regime of commuting and boozing I'm fairly happy with that. I thought I was going to do a lot worse. There were 62 on the start sheet; most started and finished and I think I got thirteenth, so some reasonable SPOCO points in the bag.
Next up - Hainault hilly next week which is longer and hillier, and I've just sent off my entries for the SCCU 21, 10 & 25.
