Pedal Force Bike

Postby huw williams » Wed Mar 04, 2009 11:31 am

The Pedal Force bike review is in CW tomorrow - a number of people have asked me whether this bike is still available after seeing a red one going very fast between the legs of Paul Hone

Pedal Force are still doing it via mail order but not as part of this year's group buy scheme. However, recognising a good deal when they see one, Ribble cycles are now selling the exact same frame/fork set up for £386 which though not as cheap as Pedal Force's still represents a good deal and you don't have to wait four months to get hold of it. Ribble, as a major UK distributor, are obviously in a position to buy a load of frames from the same far-east supplier as Pedal Force hence the good price. They've stickered it up and marketed it as they're own brand and it looks rather good.

You can find it here:

I haven't heard of any - but you could check through Pedal Force's website. - They have a very prompt Q and A contact desk

I'm with you Sean, I like my food too much. Maybe Summer time will help when it is salad season!

People keep saying muscle weighs more than fat. So putting on weight is a good thing?

[quote] This frame is only supplied when you also order Ribble Sportive Forks

[quote] Sportive Carbon Road Forks
Only supplied when you also order the Ribble Sportive Frame.
Only £89.96

A bit misleading in the way they are selling it, it actually costs £476.92 as you have to buy the frame and fork as a set. If you have to buy the F&F, and not use a different fork should you have wished, then why not price it as a frame and fork package for £475? Not necessarily a bad deal (apart from the fact it's a plastic bike  ) but it looks worse, and more Arfur Daley, the way they are shifting them.

Agreed - just making themselves look like a dodgy mail order company (especially to potential overseas buyers) as you'll see from the story in today's comic, the Pedal Force company were a joy to deal with.
