World exclusive* - £20K bike at the Science Museum

Postby Grahame » Thu Mar 12, 2009 2:36 pm

* Exclusive except for the Dulwich Paragon forum who have had the same tip-off as me.

This bike is appearing as part of the new "Fast Forward (F1)" exhibition at the Science Museum.

The science museum has "late night, grown-ups only" openings one night per month, and the next one is next Wednesday (18th March). They have bars, and all the fun toys are available with no kids around to say "You're hogging it, it's my turn" when you play with them.

I'll be going, anybody else fancy meeting up for a sort-of social?

Sounds good Grahame, I will be interested by http://www.sciencemuseum.org.uk/objects ... -d-,1.aspx

as I slipped and fell quite heavily whilst wearing ski boots ..

My guess it that Mr Green will not be joining us - with that much carbon on display he'd be having spots :D
I'd love to do this too..but it's Ladies Night at the Elmer's End ;-) ...

I think I might try to be a man next Tuesday, just to see how long I can hang on at the back, then complete a ride on my own.

I'm interested Grahame.

There's always something to learn at the Science Museum. For example I just discovered how Norwood Paragon got their name.

I might be up for this. There's every chance I shall end up muttering under my breath about the dearth of quality lugwork though.

I think a hammer might be frowned upon.

Doors open at 6:45pm.

I'll be enjoying a pizza with a friend from Dulwich Paragon beforehand, so we should arrange a time and place to meet inside.

How about 7:45pm (to allow the queues to subside and everybody to get in having eaten, etc.) by the Waterstones shop on the ground floor?

How about just a small hammer Grahame?

Don't worry Tamar I can play with the toys for 2 :D .

Does anyone want to meet up for a bite to eat after work? I work near London Bridge but we could meet up somewhere near the museum to cover varying departure points.
