Morons on the road.......

So I finished yesterday and thought i'd take advantage of the evening and go for a spin for an hour.

All was good, by 5.30 I was on the road, going along nicely, enjoying the breeze on bare shins, cruising up past Lloyd's Park, towards Coombe Lodge.......

Suddenly, some idiot coming in the opposite direction in some faded, piece of sh1t red car (possibly Honda Prelude) swerves across the road at speed and then back onto their own side with tyres squealing. God knows what they were trying to do. Swipe me off or scare me I assume.

I was in such disbelief that I didn't get a chance to get the reg number to report it to the police. Unfortunately, the traffic was too light and i'd never have caught them had I turned to give chase.

The idiot was literally 6 feet away from killing me. Put a downer on the rest of the ride to the point where I was so angry that I couldn't concentrate on anything. I just can't understand what made them want to do it. I was on the opposite side of the road so wasn't holding them up or anything.

I just hope I see them again sometime........

yeah weird and annoying. I had that once too on an open road. basically I assume the intent is to scare you so that you swerve in panic and fall off as they motor off laughing.
maybe I'm more cynical but as it happened I just assumed the intention was to scare me rather than kill me, eyeballed the verge to plan evasive action if necessary and just cycled on completely ignoring him assuming that someone wasn't actually going to intentionally kill me.
and again as you, I didn't think to take the number with my mind being too preoccupied with planning evasion scenarios.

join the club, i live near there, well a couple of metres from the park, and there are always idiots down that road. they quite simply think they own the road and epitomise the selfish nature of certain people in society. i mean you're really going to get far and feel really big running a 16yr old off the road.

I was MTBing in Shirley Hills a few weeks ago and heard a screech of brakes and a big smash, rode over to where I heard the noise from and saw 4 CHAVS climbing out an upside down car on its roof halfway up tghe bank on the corner just before Chateau Napoleon.
