Hi Michelle,

Sorry to hear you're not feeling great. Hope you can still make it to Mallorca for some R&R. I'm sure I will join you for some strenuous sitting by the pool - assuming it stops raining.

Marky Mark, that sounds like an illness that can only be cured by buying a new bike.

As soon as I saw your post I thought. 'Great a fantastic picture is about to appear which will make me giggle'.

But, sadly, nothing appeared.

So.......where's my picture?

Mark, now stop it you are being naughty!

Snoop, that really is a great photo, professional standard. I'm impressed.

However it is supposed to be silly, make me giggle, and be linked in some obscure way to this post. Bit of a tall order, but I am expecting good things.

Perhaps Sylv can find something......

Not a funny picture but something that might cheer you up anyway, whenever you read this,

This morning on my commute I saw a girl who was riding so fast I couldn't believe it. She was on one of those road bike with flat bars, pulled out at the lights so quickly and kept going at warp speed I was then struggling to get back to her, and the rest of the commuters were left for dead. I had a bit of spare time so had to followed her up Vauxhall Bridge like I sometimes do, but the steep climb didn't slow her down either.

I wanted to ask her if she was a racer (the way she was dressed indicated she might not necessarily be, but she was riding pretty smoothly), and if she'd fancy joining our women's racing team, but I didn't dare. If I see her again I will :) what happened with Marco's publicity idea of a flyer with a photo of our racing women (if that's what it was can't quite remember)?

Michelle, have you thought about the reasons your sickness have left you in such a bad way?

I only ask because I know when I got sick over christmas, it took me a good couple of weeks to properly recover as I was in a period of mucho mileage. Which I had to cut to recover.

I think it would be useful for all to evaluate the circumstances that have lead to your illness so that others can learn from it, and hopefully avoid the same fate... This is by no means the first time I have heard of people befalling the same fate...

Some great pictures here guys.

Adam I will list down my symptoms.....but for the doctors, not for you. If there is anything of any note I can put it on the forum, but I doubt it.

Love that picture of Keira Snoop, she will kill you!

No need for symptoms, Michelle.

Just wondering if you thought your training or recovery is in any way to blame for leaving you in a bad way, thats all.

Its a serious point, because its all too easy to run yourself down. All the while your mind says train harder, train longer... but your body is screaming out for rest. Like I said, I have heard many stories of people ending up like this.
