The Brits Have Arrived

Postby -Adam- » Thu Apr 02, 2009 6:20 pm

A year or so ago, all the talk was of how ''the Brits are coming''.

With Wiggins taking the TT this afternoon, in the 3 days of De Panne (If you didn't know, this is a major prep race for RVV, G-W and P-R). This win superceded Cavendish winning the stage this morning... and yesterday.

This after Wiggo had a 2nd in the TT at the Criterium International at the weekend, and Ben Swift with a top 5 on the road stage on Saturday.

And it's not just them, Hammond is looking good for the 3 big races coming up. Hunt has been looking good wherever he shows up. As have Lloyd and Fleeman.

Ian Stannard wore the points jersey in the Settimana Internazionale Coppi e Bartali for a day after his team won the TTT, last week.

Millar broke his collarbone in Paris-Nice, but is gonna win the Tour instead...

My mate Matt Green successfully completed the Tour of Montenegro last weekend, his form is building nicely.

So really, we ain't doing so bad. Sod the track, that rubbish is boring anyway.

Awwww crap, we're not going down that road again are we? He's not a cricketer or a rugby player fer gawds sake...

I wonder what his mates Hammo, Hunto, Lloydo, Swifto, Greeno and co-o, think of all this o. After the last Wiggogate I googled Wiggo and there's barely a trace to be found. He's been tippexed from the internet, or something. 8)
