Mr  :?:

:? Why? Not me, I've only crashed twice in countless thousands of miles and they were both nearly 2 years ago now.

I'll try and put some piccies up later but it could take ages as they were taken on my phone and it seemed to want to take an eternity to upload them when I had a quick go last night.

Marek - on a wet glassy road. Nice beefsteak on the saddlebag and a hole in the elbow. Trip to the GP for dressings.
Huw - overcooking it on a bend, again beefsteak on the saddlebag and a few scratches on the shin, not as bad as Mareks.
Nigel - small slippage at slow speed, not much to show.
Rob W - brakes full on, slow mo over the top and nearly into a boulder, got nothing to show for it though.

Oh and I got sunburn on my right foot

Honestly, hasn't Huw read Cycling Weekly recently....I'm sure there was an article all about how to ride through corners safely. Mind you considering in his own words he is fat and too old I guess gravity and response time were always against him

It was going uphill.

I gave my phone a test out as the camera is supposed to be quite good on it and saved me carrying around something bigger in my pocket  . Pleasantly surprised with the results as most turned out pretty good, anyhoo here's a few to sicken you and make you jealous if you weren't there  .

The view of Port de Valldemossa, as you can see the weather was dreadful.

Jon, Ben (displaying his unique mix and match take on kit), Marek, and Paul on a climb I can't remember the name of on Jon's excellent Valldemossa ride - while some did some sprint training (lightweights dodging the terrain) we of a less serious bent went for 60 miles in the hills on our easy day :D .

Jon, winner of the t-shirt of the holiday competition, combining a tongue out while trying for a shark attack pose.

"Dig in" Dewis atop Soller practicing for his next Freeman's photoshoot.

Marek arrives at Puig Major - there is another photo of Marek but it really isn't suitable for a public forum  .

After the descent from Puig Major we made the street untidy by scattering ourselves in the gutter while stuffing our faces.

I think I speak for all on the trip when I say it was an excellent time on the island. Fantastic weather, amazing riding and a great group of people. We all had our ups and downs (pun intended!) some more than others, myself included. A little thank you to anyone who organised trips, led rides, or bought me a drink! Looking forward to next time. See you all out on a slightly flatter (and colder) club run 8)

A big thank you to Huw for getting us to all get our asses into gear and book this up. It was extraordinarily cheap for the flight and hotel which therefore meant that although the Euro is not at a great rate it was not too bad. The free booze after most meals tended to get everyone pretty well warmed up so needed to buy less beers in the bars etc. Although Paul Dewis certainly did not hold back on the odd occasion. His stumbling around downtown Santa Ponca was a sight not to be missed, he spent about an hour trying to talk to me and I could not understand a word he said.

The riding in Majorca is great for a heavy weight like me, the gradients of the climbs are relatively gentle, and although the climbs are long they are very manageable. We managed to get in some great rides, and the long ride of the week was awesome. Fantastic weather, some great climbs, great company and we found some nice little cafes. Also, Baguette with cheese slices and anchovies is great, just so you know for future reference.

On one of the group rides I even got to ride with a group of Dutch flatlanders who pile drived it down the dual carriageway to Palma. Awesome fun, although meant I got lost and had to find my way back to the hotel on me tod, but was worth it.

The ride up to Valledemosa with Jon, Andrew G, Paul Dewis and Ben was great fun. The descent out of the town was awesome and is one not to forget.

Should also say a big thanks to my roomie, Andy Ellis who was riding very well. He had to put up with me getting back a bit later every night.

Cheers

Oh yes and not to forget that I reckon we will soon have another couple of handy races in Paul Ingram and Claire. Very good riders and are ones to watch.

Cheers

Cannot add much but just to say thank you to Huw for organising and Jon H for taking us on one or two adventures.
Couldn't fault the hotel or location and would recommend to others.
Hope to go there again, as there are 1 or 2 climbs still to be conquered.
