London to Paris charity cycle ride

Postby Rob Q » Thu Apr 09, 2009 11:07 am

Hello all,
A shameless plea to all my colleagues, friends, family and fellow agreeable's who would like to sponsor me.

I am taking part in the Rowland’s Pharmacy London to Paris Bike Ride 2009 to raise funds for the Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital charity. The ride is a total distance of 345km / 215 miles over 3 days and takes place from the 4th September.

Funds raised will go directly towards helping children with the most serious and often rarest illnesses. As a national hospital specialising in paediatric services, children are referred to Great Ormond Street from all over the country. The hospitals work is often at the cutting edge of medical knowledge, treating children with highly complex and little known conditions. Public support, on top of NHS funding is vital in helping to expand these services.

In the current economic climate charities are the first to feel the pinch, so I truly appreciate any donation you are willing to make. Please visit my fund raising page http://www.justgiving.com/robertquinn1 for quick, easy and totally secure way of donating.

Many thanks
Rob

The challenge is the fundraising and remembering to ride on the correct side of the road.

Firstly a huge thanks to all those that have already sponsored me, I am aware that in the current climate spare cash is hard to come by.
Fundraising is going well and I have raised over half my intended target already...again thank you for your kind donations.
With just over 3 weeks to go, I once again a un ashamedly appeal for any donations to this worthy cause. Like most charities Great Ormond Street Children’s hospital has seen a decline in donations over the last 18 months, so any help they get is much appreciated for them to carry on with the wonderful treatment they offer to sick children.

Thanks Rob
