Problem identifying people... Claire?

Talking of not recognising people, err, Claire, did I see you with the Kingston Wheelers on Sunday as we were both riding towards Kingston?

I think you said hello but I wasn't really on the ball....

Here you go Amy, this is Clare.....

What do you mean, even her own mother wouldn't recognise her from that picture.....

Isn't it about time we had our pictures on the forum? There's loads of people I have conversations with but it's waaaaay past the stage when I can say, by the way, what's your name again?

P.S. What's the name of lanky 6'4'' guy, rides a white Cervelo, gets dropped a lot on hills?

I'll start the ball rolling. Here's a picture Michelle took of me last week in Majorca. Now you all know who I am. :D

That'll be John Travolta  .

Claire is another member of the Ginger Army :D , longer hair than mine though.

Not someone else with a white cervelo, this is getting ridiculous. Happy I am 6ft5ins otherwise I may have thought you were referring to me :D

Cheers

It's the embarrassment of not recognising someone I've done a whole day's ride with ... and a fellow girl - I mean, how many girls do you get on the CR?

[quote="Andrew G"]Claire is another member of the Ginger Army , longer hair than mine though.

It was the hair that suddenly triggered the thought that it had been Clare.

As for [quote="Keith"]There's loads of people I have conversations with but it's waaaaay past the stage when I can say, by the way, what's your name again?

I just bite the bullet and go for it - I'm bad enough at remembering people as it is, so I just apologise and ask them to remind me of their name... If I see and talk to people enough, I will eventually remember... particularly if I have to embarrass myself to do so!!

Here's a picture of Claire in her working clothes which might help with identification

Not guilty I'm afraid... although I had planned on riding around Bedford on Sunday and had the bike there ready, leaving my bike shoes in London didn't make it very practical - oops.

I'm not liking the fact that Kingston has a token ginger though - they usually turn out to be quite nails
