Well done everyone, it sounds like a tough race for those who have been racing differently for a while.

Nice one Sylv, a top 10 in a really hard race.

Can't believe young Jack. How on earth was he race savvy enough to get in the top 10 in what was probably his first ever race. May just be luck BUT you also have to have the legs to get there too. A right proper find, Ant!

I wish I had the powertap last night but didn't have enough time to swap wheels.
Adam you've got yourself a half of a second place!?!?!?

E/1/2/3
Three riders had gone through the 3/4 cats, when members of the chasing pack decided without direction to take the Palace shortcut, creating instant confusion. All riders then came together and the mass sprint was won by Felix English (Corridori), but after consultation the top three's were awarded to the original break.

1 Daniel Santini Pearson Cycles
2 Cameron Cottrel In Gear Development
3 Tom Hemnant London Dynamo
4 Felix English Corridori
5 Matt Seaton Rapha Condor
6 Sam Humpheson London Dynamo
7 Chris Ansell Corridori
8 Billy Joe Whenman Sportbean Wilier
9 Syllvain Garde Addiscombe CC
10 Guy powdrill London Dynamo

Sow how did they decide the top 3? Had that race been on the open road, they wouldn't have been allowed to keep the gap they had after being neutralised. I think the race should be awarded to Felix. But I could hear Cameron moaning from the otherside of Croydon so I'm not suprised at the result. I do wonder how they decided the order of the top 3 though... And how half of me has made 2nd I don't know, I wonder how BC will interpret the result...

Yep thats me, don't know who the photographer was but he obviously likes me as I'm almost the only non-Dulwich rider on that set!

I need more of a tan though! Unfortunately, unlike Bill Whenman, I don't get to spend every other week in Spain or Italy

Cameron Cotterell ... it has a certain ring to it though ... think about it .. a mix between a moaner (not my words) and a cynic (neither) with great mutual respect

BTW does anyone know why ACC is now listed as Addiscombe CCA on BC and my license? Is the Agreeables tag now an official thing?

... which, if it began with a ç instead of a c, would be in French phonetically equivalent to ... GRASSHOPPER (sauterelle) :)

Funny you should say that because I am informed that my surname is of French origin, albeit a long time ago!

Oh how i enjoy the pain of the Crystal Palace hill
I had planned on lasting about 5 or so laps, as previous years, then pulling out when my legs fell off  . But just as I was going to peel off and watch the rest of the race as a spectator, the pace eased a tiny fraction up the hill and I told myself I could do another lap. Then I thought well lets try another and then another. I was totally on my limit though, legs screaming, lungs gasping for air, i'd not felt like this since, well, err, the 1st race last year :) . Every lap I wanted to pull out, but now there were only 5 laps to go so I just hung in there. With a huge field of 90 riders in our race, it was important to get near the front, which luckily I did from the off. Staying there was harder though, with riders trying to force their way through up the inside, outside, or over the top of you if your not careful. You have to be slightly aggresive yourself to hold position, but thats fine, thats racing.

With 2laps to go I was still in the front group, albeit at the back of it, but I was still there, I couldn't believe it :D . Obviously the pace quickened to the finish and I gave my all, overtaking a few guys up hill for the final time. Thre was no energy left whatsoever for a sprint, but just sat in the saddle and pushed as hard as I could. I think I got 10th which honestly surprised me, I didn't expect to finish a race till mid May  . But it hurt, oh it hurt. I hope the rest of you hurt too, and if not why not

Well done to Jack on his 5th place 8) :D . And a HUGE well done to Sylv, very impressive :D

Well done also to everyone else who raced last night, see you all there next week, and a few others too I hope.
