Loads of people come to Palace in cars - you're almost guaranteed to be able to scrounge a pump.

Blimey that was a bit tough! Held onto the 4/3 bunch for about five laps then the hill got the better of me and I got dropped, did most of the race on my own afterwards.

Toks and Tim (I think) were going strong and Toks finished 7th, Tamar and myself a few laps behind. Enjoyed the course (well apart from the climb), impressed by my new tires though I think I can push them a bit further still in tight corners. Enjoyed both being in the bunch (slipstream and adrenalin rush) and on my own (settling in my own rhythm, taking whichever lines I chose without any unnecessary braking). Thanks to marshalls for support. Average speed 36km/h, Toks 37.2 ... need to take 8s out of my laptime :)

Marek Glowinski had an early crash that looked nasty on the big bend at the bottom of the course, he says the skin on his hip is gone but nothing major.

Well I finally received my new oversize stem so will be able to fit those profiled bars tonight, surely that will make me 0.001km/h faster ...
