SL Handicap Help Needed for Thur Eve May 21st

Postby George » Wed Apr 29, 2009 1:17 pm

As a club Addiscombe is affiliated to the Surrey Cycle Racing League, each club must host a race to keep cycle racing events running throughout the year.
As were promoting this round of the Surrey League evening handicap series, we need to lay on all the marshals, race lead vehicles, HQ facilities and signage.

It is every member’s duty to marshal at an Addiscombe event!
So this is a great chance to do your bit for your club on a nice warm evening in May, with the best company.
Remove your name off that dreaded list of members who could get their name picked out the hat and told to help at an inconvenient time later in the year.

Post up to offer your services and I’ll add your names to this page.

Remember if you can't make it at 6.30pm you can always arrive to help judge the finish.

O' Smiling One,

I'll be able to get there for the finish so can help out with the judging. I'll borrow my Dad's dictaphone to save having to remember/write down numbers.

Cheers,

The Small Green One.

Ivor your lead car 1
Dom your lead car 2
Can one of you 2 pick Amy up from a nearby station as she's training it down from town and needs a lift from a nearby station, to help Joyce with the canteen.
Sylv & Mr Vert see you at the finish

A bit off the subject but how do you enter a Surrey League race. SERRL ones you can usually do on line. Do you just send a cheque and letter with your BC number?

George, looks like I got a problem unless I can get out of work 10 mins early. Can't make it to London Bridge in time for the 17.15 otherwise, might make the 17.23 and one change but it'll be close which leaves the next direct train to Lingfield at 17.44 and which gets in at 18.29 (if it's on time...)

So unless this fits in with the plan for the evening, I'm open to alternative routes/lifts...

George, can definitely make the time for helping out on finish line.

FYI I won't know until on the day, if I can leave work early and make 6.30 to help out on full marshalling duties etc

Daft question - why don't I get out at Hurst Green with you, Ivor? Especially if you have the car at the station??
