Have we got a Pandemic Preparedness Plan?

Postby Tony » Fri May 01, 2009 12:24 pm

We were recently instructed by a spokeswoman / doctor from the World Health Organisation that we had to develop a Pandemic Preparedness Plan due to the threat of Mexican Swine Flu. Have we got one yet? Is anyone working on it?

I have been trying to think of what should go in it....but am struggling a bit. Maybe:

* Avoid eating Fajitas;

* Hold your breath when cycling past any Mexican Restaurants (NB: there is one in South Croydon which many ACC riders will regularly ride past);

* Create as much panic and fear as possible;

erm.....

As you can see it is a bit of a struggle. Anyone got any better suggestions?

just got this through....so there...

These plans have been tested and we regard ourselves to be in a good position to maintain key operational service levels during periods of significant employee absence. We have a continuous process of review and improvement to ensure the plans remain effective.”

Don't go to war?

Don't read the scare mongering guff that your employed puts out (I ain't gonna insult yer intelligence).

Kill anyone eating guacamole. In fact, let 'em have it even if they say the word, you can't be too careful.

Before you know it, it will all be a Manic Ex Flu, which is a pi55 poor anagram of Mexican Flu. So is Exclaim Fun but I couldn't squidge it into my advice list.

Rumours about there being a new deadly virus cobining both swine flu and avian flu are apparently untrue.

A World Health Organisation spokesman said "Pigs might fly"

Its all a ruse......Governments like to make us fearful that way they can control us with the old

"there are terrible scary things happening and we are the people to sort it out" clap trap.

Remember weapons of mass destruction and the 45 minute claim.

This is great for them ....takes the focus off MP's expenses..... the trillllliooons we are in debt and all the extra tax we will be paying :twisted:

Think this way: If you aren't out on your bike enjoying the nice fresh air, where would you be? Probably somewhere dodgy, sniffing someone else's germs and armpits. Ferget it! :roll:

You can't be too careful. We've taken appropriate cautions, and as a result some of Chloe's toys have had to be quarantined.
