Norwood Paragon 25 Sun 10th May G25/53

Just me and Carole flying the Addiscombe flag today.

Seemed like a better morning than the last two visit this year, not as cold even though I was off early, no 13! Lucky for some as I was reminded from my pusher off?
Had a bit more focus today, felt I pushed a bit more, had tweaked my position rising my saddle 5mm and pushing more forward which seemed ok.
Not too much wind but seemed to be holding you back off the Tolgate turn.

Usual tantalising last 4 mile return, hadn’t any idea what time I was on so did a last desperate sprint to the line, just as well as I scraped just under the hour with 59.57 phew. Lucky 13!

Same event last year I did 1.0.04 so great to dip under the hour this time round.
Carole had a bit of competition with the Ladies but took a minute off her time from the other week to 1.15.54

As for the others
Keith Coffey. DNF Left part of his Tri-bars snapped off after the start, lucky he wasn’t in full flow!
Jim Burdett 58.20
Rob Crozier 1.1.00 or near that , a PB anyway, well done Rob
Mike Coyle 53.38 2nd
Steve Dennis 52.45 Winner

Thanks again for the lift Carole

Nice work back under the hour Mark. Well done Carole, getting back.

A low turnout with PVT and George record breaking and a number of us at the Charlotteville 50. It was sunny for the NP 25 last year too, I PB'd at it.

Keith :( and  .

Well down Mark, under the hour by the skin of your teeth. Hope you had the number on upside down as is traditional.

No Jon I was thinking of that, worried they might not recognize it!

Just checked results managed to beat 5 of the 6 Norwood Paragon riders who entered!
See you tomorrow Adam with your new TT machine?
