Hillingdon 12/5/09

Went to Hillingdon last night for the first time the circuit isnt bad not as big as Dunsfold, but still good fun.Any way we all lined up behind the E123 and they went of first with us shortly after. The pace was pretty quick after about 2 laps i just made an attempt at a break away but the wind was pretty strong and they soon reeled me back in to lead them round for a couple of laps.As the race went on about 4 us managed to get away and the break was looking good, until the E123 came past and we 4 good caught up in there pelaton which is a no no.So we were told to stop pedaling by the organizers, which was a shame because are break of 4 became 10.On the final sprint i have ended up at the front on the last corner soon to see people start to come round me,not this time i thought. So head down arse up and a growl of agression away i went.I started to catch them up and actually started to pass a couple of riders to come in 6th,and then to cap it all an envelope was put into my hand and out came a crisp tenner.Prize money i thought, think ill turn pro.

Well done Rob, it's always annoying when you've lead in the bunch, good on you for gritting your teeth and passing a few to get 6th.

If we can keep him from attacking twice per lap next week, a win is on the cards - and a mere top five place should deliver the 3rd cat license

Can't you attack just once, near the end, about 200 metres before the line :D Providing there's no-one away of course
