He should have got his passenger to pedal mind. Something like, If I give you a lift on the back of my bike, then you have to do the ***ing pedaling. Fair's fair, IMO.

I think it's harsh to dismiss any pro, regardless of whether or not you think they're doped. People don't realise just how hard it is to get where they are. Horner has always been a rider who works exeptionally hard, mostly in the service of others also...

Seen this before, good of him to give the lift, but also surely the race had some support cars following?

Can always trust you to bring doping into a discussion, Marco.

There may well have been following cars Kieran, but crossing the line like he did means he'd get credited with a finish!

Indeed, but the appropriateness of bringing in your crusade to this topic is perhaps a little dubious.

Time and a place, and all that.

Good job he didn't do it in the Tour of Britain.

Does the highway code apply on a closed road?

Not that it matters, they were doing people for anything on the ToB... just ask Alex Higham!

Adam,
On totally closed roads, no, but on a rolling road closure, yes.

Was Alex the one who was prosecuted for driving on the wrong side of the road when overtaking the other team cars to service his rider :?:

That's the great British attitude from plod to bike racing

Nah, he got done for getting a tow back on, on the first stage, after a puncture. Of course, none of the other riders were paced back up, where they... :?
