[quote="Michelle"]Examples please.
1. My mtb purchase in Jan 2000. Spending £1000 on a bike I got no advice other than that the rear shock could be pumped to 150psi with a standard bike pump.
2. Looking to spend similar amount on road bike, forget sizing advice or what kind of riding I intended (racing, sportives, audaxes), it was sling your leg over it mate and see how it feels. Quality.
3. Looking to buy new saddle in Canary Wharf (where admittedly the preponderance of numpty bankers looking to blow 5k so they can get a sub-broomwagon time in the Etape probably encourages sharp practice) I was directed straight to a £100 titanium-railed jobby as being a "very good saddle, is perfect for you". Cheers Vlad, but my numb ar$e could use a 35 quid Spesh BG to get some feeling back in my kn0b.
4. After new road bike's free 3 month "service" the gears skipped and they had managed to somehow stop the computer from working.
So, after that little lot GB gets my roadie business and Bike Plus or Nirvana Cycles of Westcott get my mtb biz.
But, as George says, Evans are handy and open on Sundays.
