[quote="Mike I"]Canary Wharf do have Clif bars
, but not the choc mint ones
.
Interestingly, I did some research on the energy, carb, protein, make up of popular Sports bars vs supermarket cereal bars eg Jordans Fruesli (the blueberry ones). The cereal bars won on all counts, though at 35g per bar you do need two per one sports bar for comparative calorific intake. However, at £2 for six bars they compare well on price - basically half the price of the sports bars. They also have a more open texture so more easily chewed and swallowed.
For protein, salted cashews are good, as are the long thin dried polish sausage that Waitrose sell in packs of six for these summer months when pork pie jelly tends to melt in the pocket.
An experiment that involved licking the backs of jelly babies and sticking them to the top tube for later consumption sadly failed at the first bump in the road.
