Sunny Day BBQ

Postby Michelle » Sat May 30, 2009 7:51 pm

Despite the fact that we missed PVT's BBQ - though it should have been really called breakfast, we didn't despair. After Huw nearly threw up on some godforsaken sprint training this morning, him and Chloe bought the entire meat contents of Croydon market and turned up on my doorstep at 2pm for a BBQ.

Huw was put in charge of the fiery monster as he admitted to never having BBQ'd before - at the tender age of nearly 50! He didn't do too badly, though I can't tell yet if food poisoning has happened. It all tasted pretty nice, and he only let the blimming thing go out once.

Anyhow, we had a grand time, lying in the sun, listening to the sounds of the country, eating for the whole afternoon and having a good old chinwag.

I hope other ACCers afternoons were just as pleasant.

Thanks H & C, you made my day xx

Yum! We cheated I'm afraid. Cooked indoors, ate outside.

Home made burgers followed by strawberries n cream and meringue. Sat round the fire pit sipping cava whilst K read chapters of the faraway tree to us. She loves to read and boy it shows. It's great to hear a 6 year old convey so much enthusiasm and excitement through a story. Biased and proud.

Anyhoo, after K got to bed Mrs Snoop and I played with the fire until around 11. Wonderful evening.

Track champs today - picnic methinks :)

Looks like a cracker.

I went to a barby Saturday afternoon with 40 others to a friends house, finished off talking dribble round his new fire pit.

K-wallity day and chilled all day Sunday, had a masive hangover  and would of died if I tried to ride on the road, so I dragged the Turbo to the middle of the garden put some tunes on and sweated the dreaded hangover out of the system for 74 minutes.

Then back up the pub in the afternoon for a Carvery with my sister, one small glass of red to reset the brain

All in all, a really nice weekend
