Team Yeti, which included two Addiscombe members (Simon and myself) got third place in the Sports, four-men team category at this weekend's 24-hour relay MTB race, among around 200 teams

Different. We only raced for about an hour (two laps) at a time so it was a lot more intense and hard on the body, and the course was fast and not too technical. I didn't get any sleep except for a short nap after my first afternoon stint, and my stomach misbehaved for the whole weekend.

Clothes wouldn't have time to dry between laps so I went through six sets of shorts/jerseys, lucky to get photographed with my only Addiscombe set
