A few hasty texts by Marco last night lead to a bit of an impromtu ride this morning from East Croydon. The rain had cleared away at this stage leaving a bright sunny morning. Marco, Sylvain and myself headed out to some local trails. The aim was to take it easy and to give Sylv a rest after his heroics at the Nocturne last night. We met up with Bob at Lloyd Park and continued on to Shirley Hills. The view from the lookout was amazing in the clear air. You could almost reach out and touch the dome in Greenwich and the Wembly Arch was clearly visible. Apparently Winsdor Castle is visible from there but we couldn't agree which speck it was on the horizon.
