How are you gonna beat the tube strike?

Postby Snoop Doug » Tue Jun 09, 2009 11:46 am

Yeah I know, cycle to work. Well my bike has a busted spoke and a flat tyre, sooooooo come Thursday, I'm gonna walk! It's only 15 miles.

I was on Radio London this morning and paul Ross asked if I would skip some of the way :)

Should be fun - read more if you want.

Snoop has spare bikes, he just fancies a walk. Probably not a bad idea, given the number of non-cyclists who are going to be out on their bikes tomorrow  .

LCC are running 'bike tubes' covering popular commuting routes. Good idea, but has the potential for carnage. I may select an alternative route.

Cheers Sean, i don't think getting there will be a problem it's going to be the getting home that'll be the problem, and before some bright spark says take your bike, first i'm meeting a mate, and secondly i aint watching England sat in lycra :D

15 miles in 3 hours? That's marching pace. Don't think I could keep up. Good luck with that.

It'll be the bike for me. No thrills business as usual.

Utter chaos on the roads today - think Cairo only with more bikes - but I didn't see any carnage. This despite cyclists passing gridlocked traffic on the inside and the outside, in between, up the pavements - you name it. And of course the poor old red lights got dissed in a big way.

Actually, the biggest increase I noticed today was not in pedal cyclists, but in scooters and motorbkes.
