Thanks again to Jon, Tim, Joyce, Andrew and Al for organising, time keeping, pushing off, marshalling and hence enabling all this to happen.
Nice atmosphere and good to have a chat and a bit of banter. Given the poor weather forecast it was a remarkably pleasant evening with little wind for a change. I've come to expect a force 10 gale - so nice to ride into a gentle breeze.
I really enjoyed the ride - nearly got my PB - felt so good that I somehow missed the last climb and was still waiting for it when I got to the finish!! So still had something in my tank, so could have gone faster!!!
Sam did brilliantly - smashed his PB on his new bike - and beat me by 9 seconds. Damn that boy!!
Why so few though?? - what with no shows there was less than 10 starters
. (we had even fewer at the Bletchingley TT last month) Perhaps we need to publicise the TTs on the general forum or somewhere more obvious??? I'm sure that's how Sam and I first got involved. perhaps the racing section of the forum is a bit full on and gives the impression that it's only for the hard core?? perhaps some new members would never think to look there? This is after all a bit of fun (albeit with a serious edge) and we are an inclusive club.
Anyway, just a thought. Good to see all those there.
Jon
