Tri-spoke vs disc

Anyone got any opinions of the relative merits of tri-spoke wheels vs deep sections vs a disc?
just pondering (ok, ok, dreaming) of the options for the "pink-marshmallow" TT build.
I've just got some plain road wheels on at the moment during build.... and apart from anything else, well it just looks so wrong!!

I find that a reasonable deep (50mm) front and a disc does the job in most conditions. I've got a deeper (82mm) front which can be a tad scary when it's windy.

I've not tried [pun intended] a tri-spoke so can't comment, but some people say the handling can get a bit "interesting" with them. I suspect that it's because the weight distribution and surface area of the wheel is constantly moving fore and aft of the steering axis.

Discs make the best noise and look good, what else do you need to know?

50mm up front tends to be most peoples option if you only have one front race wheel as it covers all conditions. PVT uses a PX101 and says he doesn't have problems but said that's down to tandem racing experience.

Another option depending on your budget is a pair of Xentis from Planet X. noticed a few of these about and Big Ben likes them (bombproof too) - mind you they're from a sponsor which might affect his comments .
