[quote="Ivor"]if I made the cables long enough for the bars to turn then the cable bulged out sideways and got in the way, when short enough to be neat it restricted the rotation.
Mine are a bit like that and fall in to the bit short to turn fully category. Only an issue loading in to the car as I have to keep the bars straighter, they never get turned enough in a TT to be a problem. That's the gear cables, the brake snick through internal routing on the base bar. They might be a bit tight on the bend but they work fine and it's not as though you use brakes much in TTs.
What's the view on Nokon outers for tri bar set ups? They'd allow me to do neat and tight runs on my tri bars and also enable me to use the internal routing on the extentions, which I can't do with standard outers. Do they effect permance in any way, I don't want to shell out on the price of them if the shifting is going to be effected as there isn't really a problem at the moment, it would just make it a bit neater and allow easier packing away in the back of the car.
Sorry for the slight hijack at the end there Ivor.
