Hillingdon

Are you thinking about starting racing? Ask about future events in here, find out what you can expect at them and who else is going so you can scrounge a lift off someone rather than riding the 30 miles to get there yourself!

I fancy Hillingdon tonight Rob. :D :D .....probably more than I fancy the hill at Palace. :x :x

I'll make me own way over there but if you're offering a lift back to Addiscombe then that be great.

Cheers.

Ed.

ARGH help I'm flying through the air....this is gonna hurt......thump!!!!

Crashed at Hillingdon tonight. My front wheel got jammed in the curb as I got shouldered off the track (second time   )
The E/1/2/3 group came through and we kept left but somehow being on the inside I was forced out with nowhere to go. After leaning over the other side of the bike to counter what the bike was doing I ended up tangling with some someone else then tumbled across the other side of the track. :( :( :( Not sure how I managed it but ended on the other side of the track facing the other way.  My hip took the main impact and my head followed but luckily the helmet took the real hit.

I jumped up  sweared a bit ....hopped around and then realised I was okay with only a few scrapes. It could've been a different story.
The back wheel is buckled and so too is front although not so bad. I wanna get up and running again asap. What about the chain gang ? Clubrun? I need to get going again!!!

Rob got a placing but I'll let him tell the story.

Nearly caused a crash last night. What was i doing when i heard the crashing of a bike from behind and then went to rubber neck it.Lots of dont look round from the other racers.OPPS.Then i saw Edo carrying his bike on the next lap round. He was doing alright as well.Well at it again bit to much on the front. All most got a way.Made a break for it with about 10mins to go.The gap got pretty big,but 4 riders from one club worked together to real me back in.Seeing my gap come down i sat up and let them catch up.It went to a bunch sprint and i came 7th.Iam getting closer to that 3rd cat licence. All i need is 3 more points.

Great work Rob, if you can try and move up to 3rd cat by getting a podium spot rather than one of the lower placings - it will don wonders for you confidence 8)
