After 12 fun packed years in BT I'm off today to set up my own business. Despite the ability of large organisations to crush one's spirit I've enjoyed pretty much every single day since I joined as a challenging, younger man back in 1996. Ever since that day I've enjoyed edging ever closer to the doorway, and now, as an older, nosier, bolder, make things happener type of person, I'm through it.

I will be in town at the Saint Bar in Paternoster Square from 5pm to celebrate. I know it's short notice but if you fancy a nice cool beer after work I'd be happy to help you drink it.

The lovely Mrs Snoop will be there to ensure I don't get too maudlin, yeah right!
