Some advice please

I have the chance to buy a Pinarello F4:13 Frame and forks for £1400.It has 2 very small chips on it from being in transit.What i want from a frame is lightness,comfort and a good bike for racing.So what do you all think of the deal.

The cycling press rate the frame highly, just googled it and comes out well. GB's are doing it for £1600. If you could get the ACC discount off that you'd be only 40 notes over the price of the one offered to you. Given the choice I'd pay the extra and get an unmarked frame.

I've got a 4:13. I think it's a superb frame really comfortable. Up to you whether you think the chips are a problem, if they're on the solid colour you could just touch them in a little.

I would always rather buy from a shop. Especially GBs as they're always helpful; even to an obvious know-nothing hairy-legged noob like me.
The weight issue is a little misleading as the frame only counts for 15-20% of the bike's weight. But at a smidge over a kilo this frame is quite light. Wheels make the biggest difference, eg even a pair of fairly standard Eastons like my SLX90s at under 1500g the pair are almost a pound lighter than the Bontrager OEM hoops my bike came with.
The reviews are excellent. If it fits (IMHO the most important factor but am ready to be abused/corrected) then go for it.
