Perhaps it's an age thing, but there's just something about steel frames. Still kicking myself for not buying the Master X Light GBs had in the sale last Crimbo. Italian bikes don't fit me but hey, what the hell...

yup, I agree the finesse of a fine steel frame is fabulous...
although I also have a soft spot for carbon composites too. but I'm a techie geek too.

A fine Italian or English steel frame is a thing of beauty. I still think a quill stem looks so much nicer too.

The fluting on the Merckx chainset should have been picked out in orange.
The Gios weighs the same as my Lemond and has similar measurements. I wonder how they ride?

Nice chrome on the Bianchi, but the lugs are a bit plain for my liking.

GBs have had a rather tasty 54cm Merckx steel frame for some time now. In fact, it's been sitting there for so long that it's time George reduced the price.
