ACC History...?

Postby Snoop Doug » Thu Sep 15, 2005 8:43 am

Hmmm - there is a late 1940s Herne Hill track meet programme on Ebay currently. The met was organised by Catford Cycling Club and ACC are amongst the participants. It is up for £2.49 (at the mo) and I was wondering......if I bid for it and got it - I would be very happy to donate it to ACC - do we have a place where this kind of thing could be archived...? Do we have a club historian maybe...? I collect Tom Simpson stuff and old cycling medals but not programmes - any ideas...? The auction runs out at 7.30 this evening.

Cheers

Snoop (Cheap as Chips Dickinson)

Chris Watts, I think, acts as an archivist for the club. There are all sorts of fascinating bits and pieces which come out occasionally.

Okey Doke - I'll have a punt then. I don't have contact details for CW but if I get it - I could bring it along to the dinner......

Cheers - Snoop
