Had a rubbish start, was moving round riders all the time, but you can only do that for so long on a course that tight. I was duly distanced, enjoyed riding round in my little group with Kevin Knox and Martin Smith, but did as I was told when Paul and Keith (as Comms) asked me to pull out. Which is more than could be said for some.

Some suspect laps out by some, mean the results sheet is probably more favourable for some than it should be. Sometimes I think I am just too nice for this sport with my unwillingness to take the piss with the rules like some seem to. But there you go.

Still a great race, just a shame the playing field wasn't perhaps all that level.
