F Word - Best Local Restaraunt Comp

The hunt is on for the best local restaraunt. My vote has gone to Albert's Table in South Croydon, and I know there's a few more fans of the establishment here too.

So get voting, you can even put your name down for a table on the F-Word.

My Dad took us to Le Cassoulet last week.

I had mussels to start and a very good chicken fricassee followed by strawberries and a honey ice cream & coffee. We had a nice sauvignon blanc with it and a blimmin good time was had by all. Not cheap mind, just scraped over the £100 mark. Not bad for three courses, water and wine (bottle plus carafe). I think it was advertised as a lunchtime 3 courses for £16.50.

How does that compare to Albert's Table, price wise?

you did well snoop.

Huw and i have been a few times and its allways about 100 to 120 for two in the evening

Fish and Grill is allways about 75 for two again in the evening but very lovely

Alberts table 60 to 80 depending on how over board you go and we love it, they do great taster evening.

I was given a tip by mark Bayliss to book useing toptables.co.uk and you get money off vouchers for Albers and there lunch menu is fab and cheep.

we will be voting AT

[quote]We found AT easier to get to mind you as well given we're car free.

I thought Le Cassoulet was around the corner from AT??

Time's are hard so I only go to AT for lunch  2 courses for £12.50 or 3 for £15 from exactly the same menu is ridiculously amazing value! I think evenings are £27.50 and £30 respectively, which is still pretty good value for the quality of food and service.
