This just in from Simon Richardson at Norwood Paragon

The Ibbo fund is putting on an event this Saturday at the Sports Café in London and we need to sell some more tickets if it’s going to raise any serious money. I was thinking you may be able to put the word around Addiscombe CC and perhaps drum up some interest with London based cyclists. We’ve hired a room at the Sports Café and will be screening the Tour stage up Ventoux live. Brian Smith and Dan Lloyd will be there and we’ll be auctioning off a signed Cervelo Test Team jersey. Tickets are now reduced to £30 and include food and soft drinks.

Would be a good chance for British cyclists to cheer on Wiggins along with like minded people.

details from the flyer below (has the original price of £45 on it) for info. We’d prefer to sell the tickets in advance rather than people turning up and paying, but they can EOL, so to speak, if they want.

Is anyone heading up to this?

I was toying with the idea, but have a few concerns:
1. I am really tight; the stage will be free to watch on my telly at home;
2. I'm worried I'll have no friends and wind-up sitting on my own in the corner;
3. I need to buy some new clothes. My two main pairs of jeans (Armani and Hugo Boss) are so old that I am liable to arrest if I am not careful (this is related to point 1);
4. I would get stressed knowing I need to be somewhere by early-afternoon on a Saturday. I may need to curtail my weekend lay-in;
5. Are there any tickets left? I would be so embarrassed to ask for a ticket and find out they had all gone that I would never be able to go out in public again;
