Help required - volunteers please for garage project

Postby Grahame » Mon Aug 10, 2009 11:21 am

Josie and I moved house last weekend, and I now have a huge garage project to complete before the weather turns horrible again.

I have a double garage with a mezanine floor that I want to sort out next weekend if possible. My aim is to clear the floor so we can get two cars in the garage, and all the bike stuff on the mezanine (except for the most-used bikes which will have space on the floor) to make a bike storage and workshop facility.

There is a load of stuff to be sorted out. Some to go to the tip, some to move to the garden shed and greenhouse, and some just to be tidied and organised.

Would anybody be prepared to give up one afternoon next weekend - either Saturday or Sunday? I can offer tea, coffee, cake, pizza, unlimited access to the beer-and-fizzy-pop-fridge for the duration of the project and future help promises to any volunteers.

The house/garage is in Bromley, so easy ride distance from Croydon.

Please post below if you can help and which day would suit you better.

Cheers,

Grahame

I should be able to lend a hand on Sunday. I'll probably be on my bike.

I've already offered to help - by looking after the cats Hetty and Ceefor :D

I may also get organised enough this week to try out a couple of sponge cakes (I have access to a gas oven which is generally superior to electric for making cake - in my mum's opinion anyway)

Mind you, I'm not sure how much 'organising' will get done with Jon H, Jon A and  on the beer

Thank you to all the volunteers so far. PMs have been sent with the address.

Now, are there any preferences/special requirements for food and drink? Other than lots, of course.

Yes. Chuck that fizzy pop out of the beer fridge.

Fizzy pop stays 'cos Alboy doesn't drink, but will need refreshing.

Don't worry, there's plenty of room in the beer fridge. You won't go thirsty.
