HELP required - open 10

Postby Jon H » Wed Aug 12, 2009 4:56 pm

Folks,

We have our open 10 mile TT coming up on Saturday 5th Sept, 2pm at North Holmwood.

Some people have already volunteered to help, however press-gang officer Doug has had a PC disaster so the list of volunteers has gone AWOL.

From memory we have:
Serge Hunt
Terry Hill
Rober Royle-Evatt

If you've previously said you'd help out please post again here so I know who I've got.

pop me down + one big cake

as Tamar mentioned the other night we thought we might do an extended club run with a tea stop to take us to the TT and ride home again after.

if we were very organised we could even send down someone in a car with our bags and some picnic bits.

we can work on this closer to the time.

Just to remind you Monty mentioned a CR down to Brighton on the 5th (weather permitting).

I'm riding it so you can give me some stuff to take in a car if you want. Won't be able to take tons of stuff as I'll have a bike and a few wheels with me but could take a couple of bags and picnic blankets.

Hmmm, two ACC events in one day. Why don't we support the open 10 which has been in the calendar all yr, and do brighton a.n.other day??? Imagine what a buzz all the TTers would get if the road was lined with close to 100 post charlwood ACCers screaming and shouting. "Best TT ever", kind of feedback, could make us even more famous. We shouldn't be competing with ourselves, in my humble opinion. We can do Brighton anytime no?

PS - had a few this afternoon so apols in advance if this doesn't make sense :)

Zzzzzzzz

Right, by my reckoning we've just about got enough people to run this event on a minimum-helpers basis, with no slack to cater for no-shows, emergencies etc.

So a few more volunteers wouldn't go amiss to make this a more agreeable event. Did I mention FREE CAKE for all volunteers?
