I could contact them and see if they wanted to run a London based ACC type advertorial?

Depends what the committee thinks, whether this is a good idea. Seems like it on the face of things

I think it's a great idea. I'd be happy to help with a j4f type ride, I think it would be useful (well essential actually) if the route could avoid the M/A23 tho. Easy done I know. If we could get something going here I reckon the Advertiser would run a piece about this for us, particularly once racing season is over.

Ok i will ping them a quick email tomorrow. They may just want to keep things 'national' and we may be too 'local' but there is no harm in asking.

How about coming from a CTC background and making it all the way to the 19s (before going all the way back down and now hopefully on the way back up).

Admittedly I was one of the stronger CTC riders who always did the longer faster rides with the boys anyway and had a strong cycling background.

I'm always happy to lead the odd ride if you want a ladies only for the less confident ones.

I have just pinged them an email to ask if they are interested in publicising local issues. They may not be, so Jon may be relieved.

Thanks for the offer of help Amy, I like Marcos idea of a write up, but it would be better if it comes from a proper person.

They may not want to put that sort of thing up though, I will wait and see what they suggest, if they can help.

Errrr, I meant I thought it should come from a real person like you, not a pretend person like Marco was suggesting. So it may mean you DO have to write something.

Does that make better sense?

But you can be an improper person, if you want.

Unfortunately I'm not a very good writer, especially about myself, at the best of times and right now isn't a good time, so i'll think I'll withdraw from this.

Put it down to a moment of misplaced enthusiasm - it's passed now.
