Bank holiday tens

Mission; find a fast 10 course on which to beat 22:24 to get to 10 trophy away from George this year.

Part 1; Team Swift 10, V718, Sunday 30th.
Long but easy drive up to Hull to the V718 course on which I did by PB two years ago. Weather was looking quite poor with quite a strong wind blowing, but for a dual carriageway course this is quite sheltered. Very straightforward course; start on a downhill sliproad, out to a double roundabout elevated turn, back to finish alongside a layby. The wind turned out to be mainly a crosswind with a slight headwind element to it on the return leg. 22:47, my second fastest 10 of the year but not good enough for the trophy. Won by Hutchinson in 18:02! (4 seconds away from Wiggins' competition record)

Part 2; CC Breckland 10, B10/3, Monday 31st.
Stayed overnight in Norwich, so had a 10 minute drive to this course in the morning. Very similar course, but not so sheltered and the wind was more of a headwind on the return leg. Finished in about 23:20, they were a bit slow getting the times up on the results board so I didn't hang around to see the exact time.

Looks like it's down to Dominic on the P613 to beat George's time now.

Good rides but bad luck in Hull Jon in trying to get your grubby mitts on the silver :( . A long way for a windy day, what would Hutch have done on a float  . Great ride by Julia Shaw as well with a 20 minute ride, she's been flying this year with her comp records.

If it isn't a gale on the way out on the P613 then I think Dominic may have to start investing in some silver polish :D . Go on Mr.L can't have George snaffling up all of 'em again  .

Having just had 10 days off the bike on hols and having just been out for the first time, it may have to be a tailwind on the way out and back on the P613 to get my hands on any silver

Is there not a 10 on the E2 in September?

Go on Dom you should be able to beat me as I've been training for longer distances :D

Next year I'm not riding any 100's 50's or 12's I'm just doing 10's and 25's to try and get faster
