Alternative CR on 5 Sept 09

Ever wondered what time trialling's all about? Or just fancy showing the world that Addiscombe's the most Agreeable cycling club in the South?

If you hadn't noticed, Addiscombe are promoting an open 10 time trial on 5 September (see Jon Hemming's earlier post) and a few of us will be riding over from the cafe to help out. Be nice to have a bit more company - we've only just got enough helpers to cover it so far. If we can get a good yellow and black turn out along the course then we can a) keep the event safe by being a visible presence to remind car drivers there's an event on and b) give an agreeable cheer to the riders...who knows....it could spur them on to that elusive PB.

Oh....and I did I mention there's FREE CAKE?

There's also a chance you may see a club record broken, as PVT & George have entered the tandem event.

Ooh, yes, I'd forgotten about that. We get to see if the Smiling Assassin still has a grin when his nose is wedged in PVT's bumcrack.

Can't do Brighton so happy to help out for the TT. Am I right in assuming leaving CSS for normal CR then from cafe to TT course.

I’m afraid there is no cake.

i made it the other day and popped it in the fridge freeze at its better when its been frozen and as I got it out, I found that huw has put in the same draw 2 very smelly fish, whole fish on top of the cake..

i somehow thing that no one will want a fishy chocolate cake
