Nino Schurter (Switzerland) defeats Julien Absalon (France) to take the Gold medal - http://www.canadiancyclist.com

I started rooting for Absalon but ended up wanting Schurter (former under 23 world champ) to win when he responded to every move by the French (who's won everything time and time again), which was unheard of, and then started attacking him. The pair pulled away from a lead group of 5 and stayed together till the end. A great race to watch (albeit a bit early at 5am)
