Well we now have a modern looking template but it's not much use as a website to anyone except for brand newbies at the moment.

We need features such as;

history of club
photo galleries
videos
club rules
calendar
what is duty of members
faq's
maps linked to google
clothing
sportive
racing
results
forum post of the month
and of course duffieldisms or some bait to reel em in
but deffo no marcocam please

Hi George - as Chloe and I mentioned at the beginning of the thread, Phase 1 was about making a start, building a platform which can be added to and maintained easily by several people, and was initially aimed at non-members, along with allowing members to pay subs online. Your list is pretty much what we have for Phase 2, but it will take time....

thanks for your list George, and its all be covered in the committee meetings (see bottom of page) but you have raised a few we didnt have so to cover your points and question some i have answered them below.

we need to keep in mind the size of the website and who will be looking at it and what they will actually want from it, how and who will updated it and how offten.
also we are not replacing the forum just streamlining key bits of data through.

photo galleries - we will have 10 or so key ones and the rest can link to on flicker or faceboook or something like that is better at storing pics . for the time being.
videos- within each section such as TT , apart from the 08 film i might add that now actually.
club rules- BORing but can go in club history
calendar- covered
what is duty of members - bit dull and who’s going to read it? I think we have covered on the membership page what other duties are there.
faq's - what would you have in here? and who would it be aimed at, as we have email contacts
maps linked to google - what’s sort of maps. we can eventually build a 'members routes page'
clothing – not opposed to it but why would you have this? as GB sells it for us currently
sportive - Covered
racing- covered
results- left on the forum for the time being
forum post of the month - listed with in even section

Phase 2 content:

For the below events/sports, Info pages containing a intro to addiscombe and the event with a resent Good/ key report. (these reports can be updated by authorised members and older post/ reports will be archived )

MTB/cyclo Cross
Road racing
Sportive
Social

Other pages to be added in phases 2

A calendar featuring (list to be approved): Social rides, Club rides, races, Sportive, Social, marshalling required events, committee meetings .
The Calendar can be updated by a team of members, anyone not registered to update the calendar can mail a group email and one of the team members will do it for them.
Photos pages : a over view of photos with a link at the bottom to our flicker site?
Marshalling page : where you can sign up to take your marshalling turn
History of the club :
Womens page : little bit of text with lots a fun photos to reflect that he club has girls/ women
Members focus: undecided about this currently
Out of scope - Result this can stay on the forum as we dont wish to replace the forum and the website will become HUGE and to messy

Yeah, hold yer horses George, it's all under control feller.

Tell you what, I'd LOVE it if the marhalling page could have a list of people who have done their bit in green, a list of gone above and beyond in gold, and a list of shirkers in poo brown colour. Love it, love it, love it. I'd pay extra to see that happen, there would be names in the poo brown that for sure would surprise some folk, he he evil snoop
