But for the (entirely invented) 'legal reasons' preventing him from predicting the numbers ahead of the BBC's announcement of them, I am sure he would have done just that - probably in the privacy of his own home and on a lottery ticket :roll: .

It's clever how he stretches the time out while appearing to rush - eg writing the results down (which there is no logical reason to do) after all balls have been called. There is about 35 seconds to do the magic.

One of the youtube comments suggests the balls are laser etched in situ - i find that quite believable

easy, he broadcast on digital while watching the draw on terrestrial. 3-4 seconds delay allowed him time to get the numbers on the balls. I do it all the time at home during Mastermind, Question Time, Millionaire, etc calling out things in advance from the old telly in the kitchen while family watches the digimonster in the drawing room. They think I'm a genius. Kids get scared when I do it during a live news broadcast though :D

yeah the sun being the reliable and intellectual paper it is had this a couple of days ago. why even teenagers buy the sun and actually still go on to read it is beyond me.
