Mountainbike ride - Leith Hill, Sunday 2nd October

Postby Grahame » Fri Sep 30, 2005 9:34 am

Simon from Bromley Bikes has offered to show us some of the lovely singletrack that is hidden away in the woods of the Surrey hills.

I'm not sure whether I can get there  (I hope somebody is coming to buy my car on Sunday), but Sylvain is up for it.

Anybody else interested? Please post here and we'll sort out car sharing, meeting times etc.

Meeting places are likely to be East Croydon station for lift sharing, and Peaslake (here http://www.streetmap.co.uk/newmap.srf?x ... e,+Surrey+[Town]&searchp=newsearch.srf&mapp=newmap.srf ) for those meeting the ride at its start.

This now meens I'll be going to the Leith hill ride with space for 3 people and 3 bikes in my car :D . Meeting at East Croydon station at 10am.

By the way - did I mention that I'm selling my car  - Volvo 940 GL estate. H reg, vgc, all the toys work, etc. £950 ono.

Sure, we'll have two cars, Grahame's already got two people and bikes in his, but I can take you Elliot. Let me know if you're familiar with the drive to Peaslake, otherwise I'll have to study the maps.

Weather looks good for Sunday, legs are still ok after this morning's clubrun, have a new bike to try out, think I'll take the camera too.

Grahame said he had Simon plus another guy (not you) in his car, so I'm guessing he's not folding his seats and would have a spare seat at the back. I'll ask him by sms and let you know, ok? I won't have a seat but should be able to fit three bikes at the back with all wheels out.
