Heres an excuse i hav`nt tried my power tap was weighing me down.I went the other way to box hill and tried to make up for my poor form by pulling the group along to boxhill and then on to coulsdon.Sorry Ben but i knew that attack was coming and i thought i`d get in there first.I cant remeber the blokes name but thanks for the coffes etc in Coulsdon.

I am 'the bloke who is always late', living up to my moniker again on sat - and yes I did forget the left turn because of chatting to Jeff (sorry again, everyone) but I'm not at all sure about the 'bloody great big mad white dog' - wasn't it a tiny yapping Jack Russell type beast? I doubt it could have reached the pedals!

Club run was good fun as always.

Rob, Nick was the man, who got the coffee's in at coulsdon, so thanks to him again. Those chocolate tasters, we were given were excellent. I plan to continue practising the art of sitting in, from café to café. You looked like you were having fun towing us along, into that headwind.

Had a good ride out with Paul, Ant and Rob (and Ed for a short time) in what Ant refers to as 'a fastish group' but which (because this is my first post and out of personal pride) I will refer to as the training group! My legs were pretty much done by the caff, in particular after our 4 man through and off (well, 3 really as I'm not sure I counted!). The cafe stop did its trick and so I felt pretty good again on the return. Somehow I did my usual and managed to put myself on the front at the start of the drag and knowing Paul and Ant were right behind it was time to give something back having been shielded by them for most of the ride out! Dug in and went for it, right up until the moment that the peleton zipped past me at the top making me look like a Sunday rider...

Won't be able to do the same this weekend I'm afraid as I am riding the Brighton 100, but will be back to do it all again after that...
