Ride of the falling leaves reccie this weekend

Postby kieran » Tue Sep 22, 2009 10:23 am

The late season ride of the falling leaves is on 4th Oct, this coming weekend is the only oppertunity to do a course reccie prior to the event itself. If I am free I will be riding the course this Saturday/Sunday, probably leaving around 9am, picking up the route at the top of fountain drive (at the double roundabout system near CP). It will be a fastish ride, for the first half anyway as I know that part very well. I will be doing the long route and stopping for a quick break at the usual stopping point. Anyone is welcome to join in, I can meet there or catch you along the route (check the Dulwich Paragon website for route details, I think Bikely also has the route, and even our own website in the routes section?).

My aim is to refamiliar eyes myself with the route so come 4th Oct I won't be too delayed by wrong turns/hesitations over directions, and to check road conditions.

Great minds think alike: I was thinking of doing a recce this Sunday. (I can't do Saturday as I'm doing either a TT or the Surrey Legs of Steel ride).

OK, if you're on for Sunday let me know. I won't ride up to CP just to come down again, so I'll hang around Elmers End for you to come past.

Chaps,

Any room for one more. What time are you planning on leaving.

I live near to elmers end, so could tag along.

Ta,

graham, it would be Sunday morning and I would probably be leaving around 9am so would probably reach Elmer's End around 9:20am?

Those times ok for you Jon? If not, I could possibly force myself out of bed earlier.
