Take it to the nearest council dump, they usualy have bins for electric stuff.

defo the council tip - all that kind of electronic buffoonery (see told ya I was technical) should be disposed of in accordance with the weee directive. That's so that we can do our bit whilst big business gets on with what the hell it likes and screws the whole planet of course.
