I thought he had a car to follow him with his briefcase? Surely that could carry his shoes as well?

Does his new bike come with helpful advice for security such as "Do not lock to bollards"?

Tsk, tsk, Grahame ........ you make sound as if it's all just a PR exercise !

(though just for the record he has my support for doing it, even if it is a PR exercise - I wish I could cycle to work with my tools following in a car behind)

Dombo - I haven't seen Dave's new hybrid, but I'm sure it's just fine............for now.

As I suspect that once he's PM and has been at the job for a while, he'll need something a bit faster.

As he encounters punters who want to have "a word" with him

What do you mean, Bob? Everything's going to be all right again when they get back in.

Mrs adrian has just got back from the Tory party conference with tales of red-trousered, braying gimps, exhibition halls peopled by the likes of the British Fur Trade Association, the British Packaging Association and the Conservative Party Friends of Israel, workshops on social justice sponsored by Coca-Cola - and a general sense of certainty of a return to the natural order of things after a twelve-year aberration.

That doesn't sound like Dave 'Call me Dave' Cameron's scene. Are you sure she didn't stumble into the UKIP conference by accident?

[quote]Me personally I am looking forward to an afternoon of 15% interest rates. It certainly makes the working day a bit more exciting.

Marco I remember that day well, I was at a Board Meeting of good old Forte (if any body remembers them) hasten to add I was not on the Board just doing a presentation to them, and everybody had their calculators out, when the rates hit 15% everybody just stopped and we gave up on the meeting and wandered around in a daze .

So hopefully nothing as "exciting " as that this time around

Adrian - you can say what you like about the Conservatives - but at least they keep their moats clean and their ducks have nice places to live

Sorry to be the bringer of bad news for all you Deutschmark lovers out there, but it is - so to speak - an ex-currency, it is no more [continues ad nauseam in a poor imitation of a Monty Python sketch].

Well. I feel certain that there are perfectly appropriate websites where people can express political views, but for my tastes I would prefer to see discusions less politically motivated and for forum members to recognise that like religion and beliefs politics divides us on values and perhaps these are best considered in other places than a cycle club forum lest we feel divided rather than united by our interests.
