2010 Tour De France route unvieled

Well, here it is - follow the clicky, linky thing.

It's a hilly one. Clockwise, so sprints for a week, then alps, then Pyrenees (including the Tourmalet twice), an individual timetrial in the Bordeux flatlands and a dash into Paris as usual to finish.

Bring on the pavé. I'll be able to see that stage in the flesh, my house is less than 50k's from the course!

Is the trick on pave to ride fast over them? I always tend to slow down, stand up and worry about wheels, forks, frame breaking.

Yeah, I always worry like that too. That bit of pave that goes round to the car park at the back of The Rectory in Purley is a nightmare...

As big a gear, and as fast as you can. If you can avoid them, do.

Believe it or not i've never seen a TdF stage ever
But stage 8 sounds good - Col de la Faucille is basically where i used to live near Geneva (see my Cristalp report), Les Rousses in the Jura near the old farm, and Avoriaz where my uncle has a studio
Might forego the road bike and take the mtb rato do a bit of downhilling there which i haven't done since about 2003!

Adam gets full marks for writing pavé correctly.
