For those that liked last weeks MTB ride there will be a similar ride from Coulsdon this Saturday, meeting from 9.15 leaving at 9.30. The route will head out in a similar direction to last week but turn west at the North Downs Way towards Reigate Hill and Bansted Heath.

Looking good for this one.

Note to self. Must not drink any alcohol on Friday.

Are we going to the Cafe?

The intention is to keep it shorter and get back at a reasonable hour, this means we don't go as far as the Charlwood cafe, which makes it a long ride. The advantage of this is we start at the same time as the rest of the club run and can also meet in Cafe Nero in Coulsdon after the ride (about 12.30). There may also be a cafe stop at Reigate Hill depending on group consensus.

Aodan.

thanks Aodan for leading this ride. Great time keeping as well, I got home at 13:45. It was much more fun doing this when the tracks were dry and on a hardtail unlike the last time I did them, wet and on a rigid bike. I will certainly be doing more of these. Bring on the Wall of Death!!

You mean a sort of "wall of mild pain and discomfort"?

The descent at the back of the herne hill sign on the far side of the track is similar but shorter. It has that same "impossible to stop" for half a second feeling. On wall on death it's about twice as long though.

The best steps to ride down are from Dornton to Moreton Rd at the Sussex Rd end South Croydon if you start ontop of the railway bridge it's even longer :D
