Are they the threads for cages that you pop rivet in to metal frames? but I'd have thought any decent bike shop should have them as they'll have to do the odd cage mount repair. Would you have to bond it in on carbon?

It is the bottle thread cage for my Planet X Frame but they do not supply the part and Butlers said the dont have any but may be able to order them but wanted me to bring the frame in to fit it.

Ive seen them on the web but in packs of 100.

Did the existing one fall out? I've had one come loose but superglued it on before it was lost. One of those annoying things that must cost a few pence but are very difficult to get singly. The fact that Planet X can't get them perhaps demonstrates how divorced brands are from frame construction!

I don't know where you get these. In fact when I read the post title I thought this was gonna be about some obscure American blues singer called Blind rivet nut. Disappointed? Not arf

I have the inserts and the tool to put them in with.

Wether they are 100% suitable for carbon is your gamble. If you want to do some homework they are called clinch nuts.

I normally use them in MS or Ally.
